Jen Neyenhouse is a second-career attorney and mediator. Before law school, she spent eight years teaching middle and high school social studies across New York, Maine, and New Jersey — from tenth-graders facing state exams to seventh graders encountering U.S. history for the first time. That work sharpened a skill she still relies on daily: translating complicated material into something people can actually use, without losing what makes it accurate.

 

She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Vermont Law School in 2018, where she served as an editor of the Vermont Law Review. She went on to practice family law in Vermont, then moved into criminal prosecution — first as a Deputy State's Attorney in Vermont, then as a Deputy Prosecutor in Idaho — followed by insurance-defense litigation and a stint as Compliance Director overseeing funds for a nonprofit. That range gave her courtroom credibility across a wide variety of fact patterns, and a close-up view of how people and organizations actually operate under pressure.

 

 Jen founded Neyenhouse Law & Mediation, PLLC to bring that experience to people who want to resolve their own legal matters efficiently and on their own terms. She is licensed to practice law in Idaho and is an Idaho Supreme Court-approved Civil and Custody Mediator. 

 

Jen is also a founding member of OpenBridge Consulting, a group that helps professional service businesses — legal and non-legal alike — prepare for artificial intelligence. Through a tailored assessment process, OpenBridge evaluates a firm’s existing business processes to identify what is working, what is risky, and what is missing. From there, the team builds a plan suited to that specific firm rather than a generic playbook, and then works alongside the firm’s people to implement it safely, ethically, and efficiently — so that adoption shows up as real gains in revenue, quality, and efficiency.

 

Outside the office, she's usually outside, period — cycling, walking her dog, or finding some other excuse to move. She also stays close with friends scattered all over the country, and never turns down a good laugh with them.
