About

Jen Neyenhouse is a second-career attorney and mediator. Before law school, she taught high school social studies for eight years. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Vermont Law School in 2018, where she served as an editor of the Vermont Law Review, and holds a Master of Science in Adolescent Education.

She is licensed to practice law in Idaho and is an Idaho Supreme Court–approved Civil and Custody Mediator. Her background includes family law practice in Vermont, criminal prosecution in Vermont and Idaho, insurance-defense litigation, and compliance work — experience she now brings to a solo practice focused on mediation, legal consultation, and limited-scope employment representation.

Approach

Acknowledge and work through the emotions a legal dispute brings up, then help clients access their own creativity to reach resolutions that are efficient, enforceable, and handled with dignity for everyone involved.

On what a consultation offers: “What I provide is what AI tools and self-help resources can't — legal knowledge and strategy, tactical guidance for your specific situation, and an experienced, empathetic ear that helps you turn how you're feeling into focused action on what matters most.”
